Simple Charity Fights Global Poverty
We are excited to share some recent accomplishments of the NFHS service organization Simple Charity. During the 2016-2017 school year, Simple Charity raised approximately $6,000 to contribute to the fight against global poverty. They supported Just One Africa, which is focused on clean water initiatives in Kenya. They also made contributions to Samaritan’s Purse in their efforts to help Haiti in their post-hurricane Matthew efforts.
Simple Charity has been in place for three years here at North Forsyth High School and was founded by student Brian Grasso. He continues to be involved and lead the organization as they have started chapters of Simple Charity at other high schools in Forsyth County as well as colleges including UGA, Duke, and Georgia Tech. |
